No ID? No problem.
Today was the first time I voted in person here in Minnesota. I've voted here before, but I used the absentee ballot. I suppose I was expecting it to be similar to the way it was in Florida, where an ID of some sort would be required to vote. I couldn't have been more wrong.
They asked my last name, and I told them. When they found me on the list, they didn't ask me for my first name and address. Instead, they volunteered that information to me, and I just agreed. I signed my name, they gave me a blank ballot, and I voted. Nobody asked for a voter registration card or any form of ID at all.
I am flabbergasted at how simple it would be to vote more than once.
You could go in the morning when the polls have just opened and again right before the polls close, because different people will probably be there and therefore not notice you've been there already. Just pick a last name a hope for the best.
Or if that's too daring for you, poll-hop for precinct to precinct. You won't get to vote for the same candidates at each one, but the governor's race is still on all the ballots.
It's sad that it would be so simple.
***Update: My husband just got back from the polls. He had the same experience. It wasn't a fluke.
